HIKETHON a great success!

The first HIKETHON was a great success!

A total of 213 hikers started the 42.195 km Saxon walking marathon around Tharandter Wald. Of these, 204 completed the route with nearly 800 metres of ascent, braving rain, snow, hail and bright sunshine.

Finishing times ranged from 6.5 to 12 hours. We appreciate both the praise and constructive feedback, which may make next year’s HIKETHON even better. Stay tuned!

Many thanks again to our premium partners AOK PLUS Sachsen/Thüringen and Kyocera AVX Components Corporation (Dresden), all other sponsors, the three refreshment-point partners, the DRK, Rene Jungnickel and Andreas Schütze for their photographs, and especially our friends and family for their incredible support #alwaysonside
