BSC Freiberg deservedly won the 15th indoor REGIO CUP. The 900 spectators at Bernhard-von-Cotta Gymnasium in Brand-Erbisdorf saw great football and many goals. Some spectators did not observe the spirit of fair competition. The final was 2–2 after 15 minutes; Freiberg prevailed in the shootout to win the IRC trophy for the fifth time.
